Moncure Park located up the street--a short five minute walk. Complete w/ Little League fields, basketball/tennis courts, walking trail, picnic area, and playground.
Every neighborhood needs a golf course...and Montclair is no exception. The 17th and 18th holes are located at the top of the street. You have to be a member of the club to play, however, it's a great course to walk in the evenings. You can even slip in a hole or two...or just putt a few greens.
The Montclair neighborhood is centered around Lake Montclair. A very small man-made lake that has three beaches and awesome family areas. Dolphin beach is the largest beach and is a 5 minute walk from the house....no need to drive. It is great for family swimming (with lifeguards on duty) and is complete with beach volleyball courts, a large pavilion for reservation, a family picnic area, and a large playground. Kids can even fish off the boardwalk.
